Building Your Network Marketing Business Using Social Media Marketing
If you have been in network marketing and on the internet, I am sure you have heard the words social media, the new way building your network marketing business. So, what in the world is social media and how does it help us?
First, let’s take the word, social. What does this word mean: to interact with others and to share and exchange ideas with others. There are so many social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, You Tube, Digg, and so many more. So, the concept of this is simple. Research these sites and find your favorites. Create an account with 2 or 3 sites and find people that have a similar interest as you and you ask them to be your friend. Facebook and Twitter are probably ones that you must join. If you are interested in creating videos, then You Tube is a must! Please keep in mind that joining these sites are 100% free!.
You want to brand yourself as a leader. Any tip of information you learn that you feel would be helpful to the community, share, and people will start viewing you as a leader. When you do this, people will view your profile, they start learning about the real you. People will learn that they have more in common with you, then just network marketing. When people get to know you, it builds trust. If it were me, I would rather do business with someone I trust and know a little bit about than someone that I don’t know anything about.
People like to talk and pass along information. If I ate at a really good restaurant, I would tell my friends. The same rule applies here. If I create some information that people like and enjoy, they will tell their friends, this gets your name out into the community and your reputation builds in a positive light.
You want to promote YOURSELF, not your biz opp! The worst thing you could do is come off like a salesperson, pushing your product or opportunity. No one likes to be sold. This is such a big turn off and people will just flat out ignore you and what you have to say. This is just like calling a cold lead and asking them to join your business without even getting to know them first.
The key is for people to view your profile, from here they not only get to know you better. If they start liking and trusting you, curiosity will build and they will be wondering what that URL link on your profile is all about and they will be more apt to click on the website. This is where you start generating leads for your business for free and this is much more fun than cold calling. Better yet, you may even meet your new best friend.
